On Saturday, May 18th, the second cleanup event under the "Nashe Place" project, called "Kurinna," took place. The goal of the gathering was to clear a site for the future Veteran’s Retreat in Makariv — a space for military personnel and their families to gradually and gently socialize in contact with nature.
Approximately 70 people came together for the cleanup, cutting down excess branches, creating pathways, laying down trails, and setting up a cozy clearing. The area was cleared and prepared for further development.
Thanks to everyone's collective effort, all tasks were completed within a few hours. On the newly created clearing, participants had the opportunity to enjoy a performance by a bard, which added a special touch to the event.
This cleanup is just the first step towards realizing the Veteran’s Retreat in Makariv.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone for their active participation and support, and to the Makariv Village Council and the Makariv Veterans' Union for their help in organizing the event. Together, we are creating "Nashr Place"!
